The earlier LT230 Boxes did not have cross drilled gears and the main shaft on the gearbox suffered because of this, later ones have the cross drilled gears and are no where near as harsh on the gearbox splines. So worrying about that may be wasted effort, the input gears for the LT230 are easily changed for the newer type. 80" 1948

Thanks Pilgrimmick, I've got a new cross-drilled input gear from Ashcrofts after inspecting the Disco transfer box.
Click image to enlarge Have emailed Syncro as well about sponsorship So far I'm looking at: -Upgrading 1.6 transfer box to 1.2 from Disco with Ashcroft cross-drilled input gear and new bearings -Upgrading LT77 to R380 (will fit a Truckfix paddle clutch at the same time) -Ashcroft ATB rear diff -LR V8 24 spline halfshafts/drive flanges |
