Paul your gracious nature is very decent in giving the seller the benefit of the doubt. But whoever the seller is only has to pickup the phone or ping you an email to explain the "delay". The problem with something like this is that other possible sellers / buyers will who have read this thread may now be wary / unsure buying and selling here so it has quite a knock on effect to forum members. I hope due your gracious nature wins through and Mr Steering guard contacts you to resolve the problem post haste. 2015 HT XS 90

The for sale thread got removed. This is nothing to do with the one for sale that you would find by doing a search. V8 90...WIP

Got removed?
That in itself rings the alarm bells if you ask me. |

paul, there are not many people like that in the world now sadly, That 105 notes is still your hard earned money, no matter what you do, in the line of work. If the seller cannot find the time to post an item for sale, then it shouldn't have gone up for sale in the 1st place, or either get someone else to post it for them simple as that. I have seen this sort of thing many times on an old metro forum, people advertising something forsale then not bothering to go through with it in the end. which really does spoil it for everyone else on the fourm. The 306 forum I am a member of, made you pay a members fee to post in the forsale, so that if things did go a tits up they would just hand you their address after they had sent them a reminder and nothing happened. I tell you what no one was out of pocket after that system was in place! Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back Success is 90% Inspiration and 4 minutes Preparation # you can make it! |

The For Sale thread was taken down presumably by admin. I reported one of his replies as it contained my full name and address. I had hoped just that message would "go". The admins though have their rules I presume. It did however remove my public platform to communicate with him. V8 90...WIP

LOL
I have sold quite a few bits on here and as far as I know everyone has been very happy with them, I have also brought loads of bits and I have also with 1 exception been happy. In that case the seller sent something that was far from what was described and it was damaged beyond use, it took some time but in the end persistence resulted in a refund however I can fully appreciate how frustrating this can be. Overall I would say that 99% of people on here are good un's DEFENDER 90 TDCI XS, I hope everyone is well and your land rovers make you happy |

I only buy stuff from here or one FB page as I trust the members and touch wood so far all have been amazing. People get delayed but there is no excuse for not communicating, it only takes seconds to send an email.
Hopefully it will turn up soon before you have to name and shame. I don't understand why you would lie, or at least not just apologise if it was a genuine mistake.! No comms from the seller at all.... V8 90...WIP |
