1998 Defender 110 300 Tdi HT Alpine White

[For Sale] Defender 110 TD5 Hard Top 2005 Bonatti Grey

For sale is my 2005 TD5 Hard Top. Great vehicle with loads of power. Only done 114,800 miles, as it was used sparingly by a northern utility company. It was respeayed in Bonatti Grey by Stock 4x4 in Essex with gloss black grill roof arches and surrounds.

The vehicle featured as Stock's showcase vehicle at Billing Land Rover show in 2016. I purchased it from the owner of Stock in August.

I currently have two Land Rovers, but I've decided to sell this one because I didn't want to put the mileage on it.

Vehicle had a full service in September.

Inside, I've fitted a new centre cubby box, and I fitted a rear door card, which was missing when I purchased it. Also fitted is an auto-dimming rear view compass mirror from a Discovery 2, as seen in the pictures.

Has 5 Boost Alloys. Front tyres are General Grabber AT2s, rear are Grabber TRs all were fitted before I bought the vehicle.

Rear is lined with carpet.

I also fitted some bumper end-caps.

The vehicle is fitted with late-type Puma doors, and I fitted new ignition barrel and door locks that come with the new-type Land Rover keys - bill came to around £200.

Also done with receipts, new handbrake linings & springs, new transfer + gearbox oil and transfer box output seal

I am may be interested in your car... Some questions:

1) How is the engine and the gearbox running? Any problems? Any major oilleaks?
2) How about rust? Especial chassis, rear crossmember, bulkhead? Doors? Footplate?
3) Any parts that you know that should be exchanged in the next time?
4) Condition of the tires?

In case anyone else wants to know the same information, here are my answers.

1) How is the engine and the gearbox running? Any problems? Any major oilleaks?

Engine is running great, recently changed the injector seals which is a common issue.
Gearbox is fine as well, changed the oil in it last year for some expensive high quality oil and has made gear changing a lot smoother. Transferbox has new oil as well, and had the rear output seal replaced, as well as new handbrake shoes and springs.

2) How about rust? Especial chassis, rear crossmember, bulkhead? Doors? Footplate?

- The vehicle has been treated with dinitrol and the chassis is in good condition. A few places at the front where it would benefit from fresh treatment, but overall good.
- Bulkhead is solid too. Again, could do with further protection, but currently no problems.
- Doors are all fine - has late puma doors, with no rust.
- Footwells have some surface rust and could do with a little tidy up but are not too bad either.

3) Any parts that you know that should be exchanged in the next time?

None that I am aware of.

4) Condition of the tires?

Tyres are good currently. 2x tyres are getting a little low, but they still have maybe 4-5mm on them. 1998 110 300Tdi White Hard Top
