Do the vents just pull out or are they fixed in at all? I want to remove for painting the silver circle at some point. James

@JOW240725,
I suppose it is a personal taste thing, I have spent the last few months getting rid of all silver on my 110, I have finally achieved the effect below. 'Every time you try and operate these weird black controls that are labeled in black on a black background, a little black light lights up in black to let you know you’ve done it.’ - Zaphod |

Ditto, I want to touch up the paint on the silver ring... (likely to black)
It aint coming off using my fingernails at the moment, so I carefully apply force on the outer rim with something like a flat blade driver until it pops? Or is that going to break it? Solved the bowel problem, working on the consonants... |

There are three locating tangs. I had the dash centre pulled forward, got my hand in behind and pressed two in together and the vent came out easily. Pulling out the centre dash is pretty straightforward. Current Steeds:

As ridiculous as it sounds, I wanted to paint up some additions on the interior in the same silver/ grey as is already in there. Once I started to try and identify the shade realised the vents are different to the instrument dials.
In the end I matched in with the dials, they are the darker Land Rover Brunel colour suffixed with a 1 in the colour code. So now the brighter silver vent rings are bugging my OCD and I will add that to the list. |
