New road tax laws
Hi All,
I understand the laws are changing on road tax, will this affect us TDI drivers I currently drive a 300tdi ?

Usually they don't change tax rules for old cars, new rules only apply to new. Ray

Yes, they are not being applied retrospectively - you carry on paying as before.

Absolutely fantastic news! If I wait until after April Fool’s Day to take delivery of my new Rolls Royce Phantom I’ll save money after only 15 years, paying £8825 (£2000 + 15 x £455) as opposed to today’s cost of £8845 (£1120 + 15 x £515).

Tongue in cheek of course, but shows again how the gap between the rich and the poor is maintained and grows: in 15 years’ time I wonder how many plebeians will actually be able to afford to run a car?
