After doing some digging about on there website it looks as yours is a programmable type :-http://www.veethree.com/programmable-tachometers.html

![]() It turned out there was a rubber bung you can remove and behind it some switches to configure for 4,6,8 cylinder etc. It works now and I'd rate them, about a third the price of a VDO unit and solid metal and glass construction. Cheers Boost |

How did you wire it, , and what sort of Revs, does your Tdi cruise at, [ speed - rpm, ] ?

I have got one of these on the shelf but have yet to pull my finger out and fit it

So far it idles at about 800rpm and max around 4,000 but not sure how accurate it is.
One wire from the 'W' post on my Marelli alternator (meant for a 300tdi but take the serpentine pulley off and it'll fit the 200). 2 wires for positive and earth. You should fit it, seems quite the luxury having a working tacho on an old landy! ![]() |
