New stereo location- in cubby box

Hi guys,

Been working on the Defender today and moved the stereo from the dash to in the cubby box.

Let me know what you think.

Mk Collector, reason for moving was:

1) cost to replace the plastic surround which was cracked was £52 from Land Rover - realised it was cheaper to get the extension cables + a cubby slightly larger than din size+ magazine holder box in the dash and a bit of work to do it.

2) slightly security as did not want to give a reason to break in- although the headunit is not alot of money.

3) always liked James bond cars!

You might have issues with CDs, some CD decks don't like operation outside of certain angles

its hard to tell in the phonto but have gone for a mechless with the clarion unit so just Ipod and USB stick but still large buttons which helps with the gloves on in the defender!
