I assume by this we are talking about the external ones that corrode? Are you aware they are only something like £8-£10 each from the main dealers? Perhaps your not near a dealer.

A lot of people assume main dealers are expensive and I guess this helps everyone selling vie eBay etc. The amount of genuine stuff I see on there that is cheaper from the dealers is unreal. I bought one in the last six months. One was £8 the other was £10 ish. They are sided due to the bolt holes. Price difference is something I've found odd before. Bought a door card water shedder once, genuine, £10 one side £20 the other ??? Go figure? Just be polite and ask for his best price please! As you do 👍

You can have a free pair if you want....but needs lots of rubbing down due to be corroded. 1999 Defender TD5 110

I think it is down to supply, the more items are in stock the cheaper they are. Amazon has the same policy when they have hundreds of an item the price is cheap when they run the stock down the dearer the item becomes. Yeah must be all about supply and demand. I also guess a lot will get changed under warranty too.
Wish I had bought some bulkheads years ago. Trying to get one better than mine. Would have bought a new one but when they come up on ebay they are stupid money. So I guess unless im really lucky and one cones up the orig will get repaired. Cheers Rod |
