Idiots are out setting traps again..
This was a big thing in the Peaks around 10 years ago...hiding spikes in puddles and mud.

Absolutely DISGUSTING by pure SCUM!

To put things in perspective, depending on the injuries, or worse, this could end up in an attempted murder charge!

I like the scenario that the scum break a couple of femurs up there and the rescue team aren't able to reach them, because of punctures.

Shocking! I presume the nutters who are placing these spikes are after 4x4’s or motorbikes; on the other hand in reality it will probably be a horse or a walker or mountain bike rider who receives the injury.

I know that 4x4’s are becoming a problem on some of the Welsh tracks and I noticed an article in the local paper that both the National Trust and Snowdonia park authority are considering placing large boulders at the entrance to many of the tracks to prevent vehicles driving the tracks, though I am sure trail bikes owners will just lift their machines over them. Large Rocks I suppose are fine but spikes designed to puncture a tyre could cause death especially to a trail bike or mountain bike rider and a real nasty injury to a horse. For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at..

It's a recurring problem on Salisbury Plain too - cretins who have no conception of the kind of damage they could do to their unintended victims.

It makes you despair.

Barbed wire between trees is a favourite for bikers using lanes too. $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R

It's all very concerning isn't it - particularly the potential for these acts to cause injury or death.

What on earth must be going through their minds. They clearly have an issue, and they will undoubtedly have some form of justification in their own minds (certainly not in mine), however these irresponsible acts are far, far worse than any activity they are attempting to prevent.

That specific point relating to barbed wire fastened between trees makes me feel physically sick.

I very much doubt anyone will be brought to account or justice for these acts - but I do live in hope.

People used to do the same thing outside my old uni in London, Docklands to stop people drifting round the large double round abouts. They scattered the road with nails, screws and even metal spikes dug into the asphalt.

Sadly their vigilante ways got someone killed. Now theres Police on the roadabouts almost all the time + cameras.
