Decided to take the SVX home for the weekend, and its sister from Bern suddenly was in front of me. Two SVX 110 together, does not happen too often. The one from Bern could do with some TLC I think.

[quote="ericvv"]Funny, 3 weeks short of the same day last year. We were walking in town yesterday and spotted this beautiful colour Twisted in exactly the same parking spot as we already spotted it end August last year. To compare, look at the very first picture of my OP.
Now however it was parked there (on a public street) with both front and rear number plates removed.
Still the same gorgeous body colour which cannot really define, and also still those same wheels which don't do it any justice in my opinion.

^^ Arran, this means that either it was sold to a Swiss resident who officially imported and then Swissonized it, or more likely these same Brits now have become full Swiss residents (not the same a citizenship) and imported/Swissonized it themselves. The latter is more likely I guess.

This morning at the airport here.
A Startech Sixty edition which is clearly competing with me for being the cleanest Defender in the area. Laughing
First time I see a Sixty in the flesh, and must admit that front grill looks not bad at all in real life. Also love those Startech wheels. Thumbs Up

I've got an SVX front on my ice edition, but I could not live with the startech front, however they've spoiled it more with the chavvy-glass sides, I guess we would call it a "layer" Rolling with laughter

The glass is not my cup of tea either, and I never liked the "retro" Sixty front when I saw it on pictures, but today seeing it for real, well it was not bad. And seeing the glass live, well still not my cup of tea. Wink

Back in the late '90's my parents took their Toyota Land Cruiser to a Series III Club event and we cable tied a Series III grill to the front for a giggle. Even that looked better than that Startech front end Shocked Darren

Stunning looking Defender! Grille not to my taste but wheels look great and I like the panoramic glass.

As much as I like the wheels they are so expensive and pretty much look the same steel wolfs at a fractions of the price, or am I wrong? Whistle James

The Startech wheels are the same as the JE wheels, just more expensive! Same origin foundry wise etc.
