Been pondering on this myself. At the moment it is fixed to the dog guard, but I would prefer it to be closer to the front seats. Used to have one fixed to the back of the chubby box pre cage.

There are some gorgeous quick release mounting solutions from over the pond...

Land Rovers solution (or at least in our ex demo dcpu) was to place an extinguisher in the passenger footwell, which was an awful place for it to be.

The Quickfist clamps do a mount to allow you to fit them to a roll cage. (or Roll bar over in the USA)

Must admit that Axia mount looks like a work of art Bow down

Personally I would try to avoid mounting it vertical without a bottom stop/support in place.

Quick fist do a roll cage mount for their clamps Also noticed that Axia does a mount suitable for Quickfist clamps with their universal clamps http://axiaalloys.com/Universal-Mounting-Points
