hopefully I will be a hell of a lot warmer now, The two front vents have been open about 2cm! So I have been going up and down the motor way like that since I have owned it! My hands have been like ICE with the cold wind blowing like hell through the vents and here is me thinking the landy has poor heating Shocked
Feel free to laugh!

Still got a few whack to learn! Laughing Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

L110CDL, the laugh is I am from a Rover metro background, which had Censored all heating and electrics. So I took the poor heating as just plain landy, with me been used to dealing with metro heaters ( the two are practically the same electrical and heating wise) . if it wasn't for my mum noticing it, it would have been like that still lol. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

went to see a mate yesterday who is 30 miles away and I tell you what, its the 1st time I have been warm in the landy Laughing
but I think it could do with new seals around the vents to help insulate them more. Very Happy Just got to make it more water tight and sort the suspension out. Before I can do the rear door electrics and trim. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

Then I can just bin the full system including the ECU thing too. Twisted Evil

Well today I moved on a good mile stone!
things that went right today did!
I got a mate to help out with the EGR removal system, we made a start and then me and my dad took over. We thought its going to be a Censored . With in a matter of mins, we had the full EGR system off the car, and plated over. I also removed the EGR ECU and binned that too. So the full EGR system is now binned. Got to say when me and my mate removed part of it, the landy was a different car! Really pokey like my dads! When we removed the rest the car fired over a lot better too.

I was expecting this to be a pain, but in the end all worked out spot on!

Moving on to the door seals. Every one of them were knackered, I suspect the two front ones were after market going by the Proper ones that I have bought.
So off those went and on with the new!

rear door one had seen better days

the driver side was well leaky and the passenger one was well short, so what ever heat was been built up was just going out, But I recon I might have to move the sill up further, like we did with my dads.

ready for the bin

The rear bottom door seal was well rotten, my dad kept itching like mad to get that on, and in the end I said ok. I was planning on fitting a carpet to the rear, So we made it removal able, ( he rived his on)

left the film in place for now, until I get the carpet installed. I am going to push to make a start on the rear door electrics too. Going to go for a MUD rear door card, and a rear handle. Also get what ever it needs to give that rear door a bloody good revamp. It looks a right Eye sore does it not!

Also I have got my galv suspension to go on, but are in the paint shop at work getting painted by a pain tech. Who is a landy lover.

So all in all, we had a good successful day, hopefully things will push on nicely like it has.
Going to look at a rev counter too, and move the clock to where the rear wiper switch is I think. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back
