Home > Td5 > Electrical drawings for a 2000 Td5?? |

I have a problem with my lights and have managed to get a hold of two sets of electrical drawings for a Td5 but neither seem to tally with my 2000 110 County model. One set of drawings is marked as '1999 MY' but the fuse numbers for the lighting circuits don't match my fuse box, see photo, and the other, marked as 2002, has more fuses. Is there another drawing for the 2000 model or am I reading the drawing incorrectly? Thanks in anticipation.

Sorry, I realise I didn't explain this very well.
What I'm mean is according to the 1999MY drawings the head lights are fed from fuses 16 and 17 but on my fuse box it's 13 and 14, as per the photo. They, and other supplies, don't tally up. |

Your centre fuse box lid is from TDI 300 fuse lay out is not the same
All you need to do get the right fuse layout label or print out the two below Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge |

Thanks very much Dorsetsmith, that would certainly explain a lot and put an end to a lot of head scratching.

Click image to enlarge I know this post is old; however, I have a 1999 Td5 110 CSW with the same issue as dougelec. My fuse panel forward of the shifter and fuse layout do not match the wiring diagram for a 1999. Any ideas why this may be? Dougelec’s photos look exactly like my layout and it is an unmodified Td5. The main thing I’m looking for is an explanation of the symbols. Thanks! |

The actual answer is that the fuse box labels have the fuses in reverse order compared to the wiring diagrams.
To match the wiring diagrams, the top row should be labelled F10 -> F1, and the bottom row F20 -> F11 1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top 2015 D90 XS SW |

YQS101790 and YQS000010 both apply to 1999MY-2001MY Defender Td5s.
The difference of note is a minor change to the graphic for the hazard warning lights above fuse box label 8 (wiring diagram fuse 3!) 1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top 2015 D90 XS SW |

Well, that makes perfect sense. It is exactly backwards. Thank you!
