I'd be highly surprised if ANY diagnostic kit worked on a 300TDi
In all seriousness, there will be something to connect to the alarm module for coding key fobs etc, but that's about it |

Ok no worries, just trying to see if the alarm module was causing an issue on my vehicle. Scrolling through the menus it says 1997 10th letter of VIN =V but only showers discovery, freelander and range rover. Scrolling through a couple of menus does show defender and states where the connection is, but won't read. Thanks for your help.

where is the Diagnostic port on the 300? Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

The port is at the front of the middle seat / cubby box area and close to the passenger seat if that makes sense !

I have these ports under my middle seat always wondered what they were for. I see they are diagnostic ports but what would they check for? It's a 300 tdi

EGR control unit programming and 10AS alarm unit programming it more a programming port as no ECU is fitted to 300 tdi late model
