Need to decide is it a YES buy it or NO... :) ***Update ***
OK so drove the series 3 today and have to say it drove well, braked straight, wasn't at all as rickety as I thought it would be Smile

I took it for a good spin, sounded good, tick over good, (petrol engine)

some pictures

The Mrs sitting in it (she stayed in my car with kids) although likes it a lot !!

The little lad thought it was ACE and wanted it straight away Smile

I had a S3 station wagon years ago. Loved it, but it was very loud, very vague steering, very agricultural. Driving a 200tdi was a revelation in comfort.

But cars are about facilitating adventures - and it seems like there's enthusiasm there amongst the younger and female members for it, so why not?

Usual rules apply - a cheap one will be an expensive one in the end, so check that its as sound as it can be, that you know what will need doing to make it safe, roadworthy, and comfortable (in that order) and can afford at least the first 2, and then have fun.....

^ Your right.

It HAS to be safe, even though it has an MOT there is obvious work that I would want doing (some welding...)

Then the seat belts, I would have to look at better ones for the front and if they do any for the rear that are suitable.

It would be a project, keep be busy in the evening and weekends.

I'm happy with the price for what I'm getting (I think) it has a few upgrades which make it much better apparently such as these springs...it didn't feel as bad as I though after jumping out of mine and into this Smile
