Regrettably the time has come to sell my Defender 110 200tdi on a galvanised chassis as it no longer gets the use it deserves.
The engine, gearbox, transfer box and axles are all original and have done a genuine 24k (history to prove) miles. She started life as a fire tender vehicle on a power station where she clocked up 15k miles in 22 years. The previous owner to me brought it from the power station and it MOT'D and serviced prior to selling it to me as his wife didn't like it! I have owned it since and have undertaken a full rebuild. I will go into as much detail as possible but am bound to forget something so please don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions. ENGINE -As above has only covered 24k miles, but has been serviced very regularly and the cambelt has been done twice! -New radiator and hoses. -New clutch pedal, master and slave cylinders. -New Stainless full length exhaust. CHASSIS -Brand new Richards galvanised chassis and gearbox crossmember. -New fuel tank, sender and pipes fitted at the same time. SUSPENSION/AXLES -All bushes replaced with OE spec and all new springs/dampers fitted. -HD tubular turrets, new retainers and seats. -Brand new brake lines - every pipe replaced -New front callipers and discs. -Genuine HD Wolf wheels with Goodyear Wrangler tyres 10-12mm depth (set of 5) BODY -She started life as a 3 door van body, and was rebuilt using a CSW body as a donor. -All tub cappings and crossmembers were removed and galvanised as were the B posts prior to painting and refitting. -New Td5 bulkhead modified to fit a 200tdi, wax oiled inside and out. Rear floor replaced with 5mm chequer plate. And any corroded sections cut out and replaced. -Very rare aluminium door tops front and rear. Second row door bottoms have galvanised frames but have the original skins. -One piece rear door. -Galvanised rock sliders. -Additional storage created in the wheel arches, also providing access to all rear light wiring. -Genuine Safari snorkel. -Galvanised swing away rear wheel carrier. -AirCon Grill, or can come with the original flat type. -All seals replaced, and it does not leak! INTERIOR -Sound proofed and insulated interior using 3m thinsulate and sound deadening panels. -Td5 XS heated half leather seats. -Full heading retrimmed in black. Points to note; The Defender will come with the original steering wheel not the one pictured. Roof tent and box not included. The following are not included but could be for the right price; -MSS longline drawer and chest. -Flatdog roof rack and terrafirma ladder MOT until June with no advisories. Countless hours and thousands of pounds have gone into making this one of a kind. Viewing is more than welcome and strongly suggested to gauge the level of work gone into this. For anyone genuinely interested, a test drive on the scenic Shropshire hills is possible. Located in Shropshire, delivery could potentially be arranged. Looking for £15000->£14000ovno Hundreds of photos and receipts of the rebuild to prove all of the work. I am unaware of any 200tdi with lower genuine mileage. It's down on the v5 as a light 4x4 utility I declated any changes to the DVLA to avoid any issues. The lez exempt business didn't bother me as I never intended to take into London. However I'm told you can apply to have that rectified.
