Thread title info
On some forums when you hover your cursor over the thread/post title, a small box opens showing the first few lines of the post. Its a quick and useful way of seeing what the post is about.
Would this be possible on this forum?

Yeh, should be. But for example, in the 'General' section theres a thread titled 'spotlights' where stanley asks a perfectly good question of how to open his spotlights. But theres no way of knowing what his question is uness you click on the thread and read the post. He could have been asking amost anything to do with spotlights.

It would be useful to just hover your cursor over the thread title and get a glimpse of its conent, without having to open it up. If the subjects relevent to you then open it up, if not, hover over the next thread title that catches your eye.

Seems to work on many other forums. Perhaps im just being lazy? Smile

PS Im not picking on stanley, just using his post as an example, as it was one of the newest posts in that section.

I think what Warpig means is that you get a little preview box appear showing the initial content of the thread, so yep whilst the thread title SHOULD be a good guide, the initial few lines of the post may also help you decide if you wanna read it or not.

That sound about right Warpig ?

For example,

Were I to post a thread entitled 'I've got a huge cock!' by hovering the mouse over this title, you would infact be able to see straight away a small preview that what I was talking about was in fact that I keep chickens and my male of the species was surprisingly impressive.

And the answer to your next two questions is......

No and Yes Whistle (I know which order you meant to ask them - lets leave it at that)

Edit - nearly deleted it as Warpig had clarified it whilst I was typing this - but left it to let the REAL debate run Mr. Green Jon - 110 td5 [sold]. Currently Defenderless.

Rolling with laughter

But yep, your spot on Thumbs Up

Same applies if I title a post 'xhamster'. You may think my hamster has died. But not so, perhaps im refering to my favourite website Shocked ?

Am I now banned? Big Cry

I have to say that I agree -it works well to give a view of what the thread is about. John

warpig - don't mean to steal your thread here but in the same way I was thinking only the other day another website I used to frequent had a very useful feature - 'in the office'
turned the website grey scale and lost the fancy pictures at the top. Very Happy
