There was an article claiming 8" of snow for the UK on Thursday
The best bit was at the bottom where it had a poll where you could vote on how many inches of snow you were expecting. When I looked 0-4" had over 95% of the votes I am praying for some thick heavy snow but as I live at the wrong end of the country for snow I doubt we will get more than drizzle. Lots and lots of drizzle. Hope not though Running Restoration Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/post323197.html#323197 Self confessed mileage hunter |

The last time where I live had a proper thick covering, your talking nearly 5 years ago now, then the time before that was 2010. The papers for the last few years have always said its going to be bad November, Novembers been and went, and everyone of them has been mild. I am not holding my breath for anything this year, even last year we only just got a light dusting. My area has been issued with a weather warning for Thundersnow
Never heard of this one before but Thundersnow is similar to a thunderstorm, except snow falls instead of rain When thundersnow occurs the lightning seems brighter because the lightning reflects off the snowflakes, however the snow contained within the thunderstorm acts to dampen the sound of the thunder so you do not get that big bang. Can't wait for a good Thundersnow ..... For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at.. http://www.youtube.com/user/conwy1 |

I was caught out in Thunder snow about 45 years ago while in the Cairngorms I frighten the out of me , it also seemed to be snowing harder if you get my meaning. Don't make old people mad.
We don't like being old in the first place, so it doesn't take much to us off. Richard |
