I do like Ken's, one of the best in a Defender I've seen.
I'd like to do similar but it isn't practical for me but the bigger the better for base range. Quality is all very well in highs and kids but base is the biggest lacking thing in all vehicles. Mainly due to cost and size / room to fit subs. Play Stupid Games, Win Stupid Prizes. Big Brother is Watching. 🇬🇧🏴🏴🏴🇮🇪🇺🇸⛽️🛢️⚙️🧰💪 |

Would ideally like to keep it all Alpine for the driver side of the system... With this in mind... Any suggestions?

If you don't want to go overboard, have a look at the Alpine KTP445A or its successor,....quite small,...will fit behind the dash.

Going back to the ops original question
![]() Alpines V power amps used to be the daddies, understated power and clarity unsurpassed. Things have moved on, with the advent of digital processors and Imo brands are more equal. Saying that I'd still only have an Alpine or maybe Pioneer head unit ! Looking at the alpine range, I don't think you'll be disappointed. I'd probably go for the MRV range. Branded as the new v power, but digital and smaller. You could go for the 5 Channel, MRV-V500, but if you have the space I'd still go for a mono and 4 channel. |
