I would love to know as well. I have heard of specialised slide hammers etc but my local garage recommended a chisel.

I've got the proper slide hammer but it wouldn't touch it
I've now got half of it out, and done about 3 chisels in! It had got so hot, it's practically welded to the crank..... 80" 80" 86" 88" 90" Wanted, Forward Control Anything considered. |

Thanks very much for that Dorset!
I didn't want to damage the rear of the bearing, but now know I'm able to drill through the back of it is good news! I couldn't get a new one until tomorrow, so wasn't sure if the back was part of it? I will use that method tomorrow. That's a great help, cheers 80" 80" 86" 88" 90" Wanted, Forward Control Anything considered. |

Drilled through the back, pulled it out with a slide hammer. Thanks again for the link Dorset. Click image to enlarge 80" 80" 86" 88" 90" Wanted, Forward Control Anything considered. |
