So the white powder coated roof rack came off today to be stripped back to natural aluminium. Going to be a bit of a mammoth job but satisfying once done. I think it will be worth it in the end to improve the overall look.
Finished the rear ladder and step yesterday and very happy with the result. After much research opted for gasket remover to strip the powder coat and surprisingly brasso works a treat removing corrosion from the base aluminium without too much effort. Click image to enlarge |

Tint it.
I did it for looks, cooler in the summer and added security as less easy to look in the rear. Click image to enlarge |

What's the spect like from the interior? Does it take a bit of getting used to? |

All good, passengers like it and it has added benefit at night for cars and their over bright headlights behind you are less bright on the eyes.
From a driver perspective I am not even aware of the tints now, just took a day or so to get used to them.. All my cars now have tints, so much better |

The Hannibal rack has finally been stripped of the white powder coat after being blasted with fine glass grit. Really pleased with the end result. Gave him a wash n'all as a treat.
