How is the tone quality? I tried an ALPINE Radio with BT connection for iPhone with my old 3G and the 4G, with both meself sounded like a squeezed rabbit and ofer 25mph the vehicle was clearly to understand.
Still searching somthing more comfortable than a wired headset..... WANTED: SII or SIII in max 1.5k |

Put it this way, I called SWMBO from the defender whilst I was on the motorway and she was convinced I was still in the office. I'm delighted with it and clearer than the integrated BT on my BMW.
You can stream the iPhone music over BT but the digital direct connection is superb. Amazed how great it makes the standard speakers sound. It might be novelty but used it this week and is a great mod. Next mod is to put HID headlamps on. I put these on my R1200GS adventure and was the best upgrade I have done. Anyone done it to the Landy? I used 50W on the GS and much brighter than the BMW dual xenons. The standard Landy headlamps are laughable!!! My MTB lamps are brighter. |

Just a quick question:
Does this enable you to play the music from your Iphone through the stereo? Does the wireless remote allow you to control the music, FF & RW for example? Cheers Ben 2002 Defender 110 DC |

Ben when plugged in the remote controls the play list etc, not sure on the BT as I just use the screen control on the phone that is mounted on the dash.
If you had asked I could have given a demo today for you. Boy |

Cheers Boy,
To be honest I have never even thought about a hands free in the Defender, but I am currently looking for a way to add a remote control to my head unit. I have an Apline head unit which I am sure I can get a remote for, bt if I could add an hands free into the mix it may be worth it. Good to see you today Ben 2002 Defender 110 DC |

The Parrot will let you select the track via artist, album or playlist on the parrot and the remote lets you play/pause and skip tracks forward and backwards.
Also note that the Parrot uses its own amplifier to drive your existing speakers and this volume is controlled via the Parrot so it won't be running through your alpine unit. There are line-out outputs which I guess you could connect directly to the audio-in on an amplifier? |
