Well I now declare the auction closed and that the winning bid is £700 from LRNZ
LRNZ if you email us at info@4x4overlander.com we will sort out the details. If things go smoothly and quickly you never know the wheel carrier might even be in NZ in time for Christmas. We have sent wheel carriers out to NZ before. Well done LRNZ Brendan |

Hi LRNZ
Thank you so much for your purchase and extra contribution to the just giving page – I do not know your financial position – but whatever it is you have shown an extreme amount of generosity. I do not know ‘Leeds’/Brendan (except for purchasing the same Nakatanenga wheel carrier from him about a year ago) and know very little about MS. I set up the just giving page because I was moved by his generosity to purchase the carrier and then give it to the auction and so the total amount raised is all due to him. Again - thank you and I wish you and your family a merry Christmas and a happy new year. Regards Andy (PS – the wheel carriers really are very nicely made and a superb addition to your vehicle) |

Excellent words Andy and so nicely put and I am sure we all grateful and moved by LRNZ act of such generosity, a true gentleman. I would like to also wish LRNZ and his family a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New year and lots of fun in his Defender and please may we see some pics as I have a feeling it's going to be a rather nice Defender. 2015 HT XS 90

Hi Andy, many thanks for your kind words and for setting up the Just Giving page (Also for attacking various peoples wallet with your crowbar )
I must admit I did wonder if we had actually met or whether you were a customer of ours. Now I know. It can be difficult to go from login names to real names. One of the things I like about the forum is that people are willing to help other people out even if they do not know them in real life especially LRNZ Also many thanks to those who donated to the MS society. If you have not already donated to the just giving page you still have time to do so before it closes. Many thanks Brendan |

Brendan,
If you need assistance getting the wheel carrier to NZ, please let me know. We've got air freight shipments heading down there to our distributor every month and we can send it with one of them for free if that helps? Genuinely great cause and well done to everyone involved in raising a terrific sum of money. Ross The Scotia Winch Challenge |

Many thanks for your offer Ross.
However currently the wheel carrier has left the UK and last tracked it was in Arnhem. Not sure how long it will take to NZ in the current holiday season. Brendan |

Thanks Andy and Brendan. I am quite exited about this delayed Christmas present! i have to admit our Defender is a bit of a trailer queen by Defender standards so there is no rush in getting this out here. I do intend to do a bit of the rough stuff in 2017 and get a bit of use in so I will take some pictures of the carrier fitted and it out and about.
I would like to thank Andy for setting up the page and Brendan for the amazing generosity. Just great stuff to see and glad I could be involved. |
