Mine IS a heated screen. Hmm, not sure what those black strips are, but they do show on the actual vehicle. Maybe they changed the design a bit? 2011 110 USW

And here I was thinking we had both been over every detail  ...I hadn't noticed them either until you pointed it out! I think it might be a heated screen thing, maybe to stop head conduction to the surrounding bodywork, or electrical insulation... 2011 110 USW
