2014 Defender 90 Puma 2.2 SW Corris Grey
We kept our RHD car for several years after moving to France. You soon get used to it and once the plates are changed the locals stop cutting you up. If it wasn't for the crash we'd still have it. Whistle

Are the dash parts not able to swap sides?

I was pondering this when i was working in there the other day. I think the main moulding is the same, but its got bits cut out for the steering column to go through. So you'd have to chop the passenger side about a bit to make it fit, then glue some plastic in the holes on the old drivers side. Would take a fair bit of work to make it look tidy.

Ive got friends in the UK with LHD cars and friends in FR with RHD cars and it's not such a big deal any more. It used to be a nightmare to get them insured, but since cars now have EU type approval its less of an issue once they're mot'd and registered in the UK. You'll need to replace the headlamps, and swap the fog and reverse lights over to make it road legal in the UK and if it wasn't originally an EU model then you'll probably need to get a certificate of conformity from Land Rover for it.
