Stuck in first gear
Hi, Can anyone help. after leaving my 2011 2.4 TDI parked on a hill in first. When I came back I could not get it out of first. Rang my local helpful Land Rover garage and was told "thats a common problem £837 to fix". It was like they had it written down on a piece of paper in front of them.

Any ideas or anyone had the same problem, advice would be appreciated.

Steve

Did they suggest what they were going to do for the money?

Rolling with laughter

It's nothing so simple as it's moved on the handbrake and the clutch isn't fully disengaging hence it's stuck as the gears are in tension

Have you tried putting transfer box in neutral and then trying to disengage with engine running?

Hi,

he sent it in to us, the local garage had caused some damage when they tried to fix it, we sorted it out and sent it back to him,
