90 Drawer build (Pic heavy)
I needed a drawer for the back of my 90 and none of the commercial options appealed to me. Sure, some were nice but none utilised the space particularly well. So after a while of thinking, drawing and planning I had come up with an idea.

Started by welding up a frame for the drawer runners.

Painted and test fitted

The runner in place as well

There’s a hump in the door and to maximise the space I mounted the runner over it

Using the existing holes in the tub

18mm sheet of plywood

And a smaller piece on the other side

The join is both tight and well supported

Measure twice…

Starting building the drawer

First test fit with all the sides of the drawer fitted

Filling the little gap for the hump in the door

Adding the paddle latch.

First coat of paint

Glueing down the carpet

Adding lino edging to the sides

This is a very important structural brace. As the piece of plywood on this side is only screwed down on one side - And the fridge is bolted on to this piece of plywood it would be flopping about otherwise

And there we are, everything in place

I couldn’t find a good nosing locally so I had to order one

Nice job, and really nice to see home made Thumbs Up
When I built a drawer some years ago, I built a slide out brew tray under the drawer itself to put the stove and kettle on.

This build looks very nice.
Do you have a build plan with measurements by any chance?
Would love to do this build to my Defender 90
