I know what you mean. I used to have a couple of TVRs - the last was a classic V8S in mint condition, fantastic car (not as rare as yours) but under used due to the limited seats and multiple kids.

It will be a wrench for you - but having owned (and missed) a Puma 110 XS I know you will enjoy the grin factor from the Puma.

I love the bike though - I must get an old bike one day ....... John

That brought back memorys of banging my elbow on the back of the cab when changing gear. I feel old now as I drove those in my early days in the army Laughing We always maintained that they where better offroad than the MK's that replaced them. Petrol too :D

Zagato, thats like trading in a supermodel for the wife. Then again wives tend to be a bit more practical and useful around the house than supermodels. My Mrs. can change door locks, light bulbs and helps with the Land Rover stuff. None of that -OH I have broken a nail crap". Considering the sacrifice you are prepared to make to join the club I hereby propose that you become a fully fledged member of the Defender2 site-even though you have not got one yet.I am beginning to think that there are non of us "normal" on this site. I am glad to have found like minded beings. Very Happy 1982 88" 2.25 diesel

Don't do it Shocked you will regret it. No Defender is worth selling that for Thumbs Up

I love the defender but I have to agree with Matt. Have you looked into selling an organ or two instead?? Whistle

I had an e61 BMW M5 (the touring model) and had to let it go to free up funds; granted, it was nothing like as unique as your Jaguar but it was still a rare thing. So much so that I made a profit when I sold it on, there won't be many people who can say that about a non classic BMW!

In the 18 months of ownership I spotted only 1 other e61 on the road Big Cry

Very nice.

I sold my M5 to get the 110. I've not looked back once.

I'd think twice about that Jag, though. I guess if it's not really getting the use or enjoyment it deserves - pass it on to someone who will treasure it and don't look back. One that started out as a 2.4 TDCi 110 XS

Welcome to the forum "Fanlynne" Thumbs Up

Well I have had three interested but very disappointed parties wanting to buy my Jag but as they all live in Europe they have found it difficult to import as Europe does not recognise the rigorous SVA test that replicas have to undergo in Britain to classify them for legal road use. Legislative changes are due though apparently to to bring our SVA test in line with their IVA test - not soon though.

Other replica cars manufacturer use old log books (bit shady) or the owners bring them back into the UK once a year to MOT them.
