Although not a Christmas ad, but 118 ads. I hate them.

Going to sound like a Censored but those god awful save the children or water aid adverts which last about 5 minutes and try to guilt you into donating while being endorsed by someone who is in a far better financial position to help them than I am. Running Restoration Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/post323197.html#323197

Totally with you on these celebrity fronted adverts but the one bit I sort of disagree with is we have no idea what they're contributing (other than their time obviously). They may be giving them millions for all we know....

Arrrrggghhhhhh!!!!

Forgot about the dreaded SCS woman that starts her Christmas campaign around Christmas night, and then spends the next 6 weeks annoying the crap out of anyone who dares to watch TV?

Thats got to be in the top 3... Big Cry

She's only just Censored off from the Autumn sales! Laughing 80" 80" 86" 88" 90"

This thread should probably just be bolted onto the Grumpy Old Man thread but the John Lewis and Sainsburys ones annoy me as much as any other. Why people get so excited about a branding exercise never ceases to amaze me.

Emotional music, twee/heart-string-tugging imagery, covert 'we're a company who cares' message... meh Rolling Eyes Mr. Green

The holiday adverts that start on Christmas Day

Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated Mr. Green

Any advertisement written by a person who doesn't know the difference between the subject and object forms of the personal pronoun.
