LT230 (Puma) questions (and outputshaft)
Hi,
Overhauling the LT230 (No. 81D245708G) in my Defender 2.2 Puma.
It suffered from oil and went hot!
There were no paper gaskets used. Everything was kitted. Is best practise to kit everything again or use (paper) gaskets?
Is there a parts list available for the latest transfer boxes?
I am looking for instance for a green speedo (now molten) gear part no. I see blue, but no green available.
Outputshaft is movable (radial) I see some rust (dry). How to remove the nut holding it? gearbox is out of the car.
Like to replace it with Ascroft's output shaft. If the grarbox side is still within limits.

New ones just use sealant, no need of other gaskets.Puma 110" SW
