So I eventually ordered a pulley holder that I had to cut as it was too thick to fit in between the fan and the pulley.

Hi all
I have to remove the viscous fan on my 2.4 PUMA too. Do you have some links to order the two special tools to do it easily? Best regards |

If you can afford the price of the original tool, I would definitely recommend http://www.dingocroft.co.uk to order the LR tool (ref. 303-1334)

If you have a sds drill with chisel only function, a very quick zap with that and its instantly undone - no where near as brutal as it sounds, mine resisted a home made special tool and spanner, a hammer and chisel & I tried the sds in desperation, worked superbly with hardly a mark on the nut!

Hi!
I was waiting for my tools and I tried only with a 36 spanner and hammer. It worked fine! Only few trying and it worked! Maybe sometimes it could be impossible if it's too much rust but some WD-40 and it should work for those doesn't have the special tool. Best regards |
