what kit did you install, did you do it or have in installed. I do think this is the way forward on our house as Electric is only going one way in price...


However whats the life span of the panels also?


I guess if you break even after year 1 its a no brainier?

Panels have a 25 year life, not sure of the make but made in Japan I believe, we were lucky enough to get the initial feed in tariff, it's halved since, but having said that, if you consume in the daytime (Immersion, heating etc) you will use your own electricity.

There's a few other boxes installed to change from DC to AC, another to meter the output fed into the grid and a wireless display that shows what you are generating.

The air Heat pumps are Mitsubishi, 1 unit of energy in, 3 units out, they work best with underfloor heating - and there are grants for these (see ofgem)
