[Wanted] Discovery 1 or 2

Gents,

I'm hoping someone on here may be able to help or give me a lead.
My brother in law is looking to buy a Discovery, predominantly for taking their new dog out in and to do some laning in.
Ideally a Series 1 300tdi without all the bells and whistles as there's less to go wrong and auto but a manual is ok.
He's not overly fussed if its 3 or 5 doors but he does want a solid honest one which doesn't need lots of welding as I went to look at one with him and all I can say is some peoples interpretation of "good" is unbelievable !!!!
He's in Romford, Essex and doesn't mind travelling.
He's also recently started looking at Disco 2's although a 1 is preferable.
Does anyone have one or know of anyone selling one please.

good luck with finding a rust free d1 mark

there are a few well cared for examples around but they are rarer than a leak free defender

plenty of d2's and many of them are in worse condition than a d1 due to chassis rust and owners bodging things rather than spend money.

if you can throw a max price on what you wish to spend it helps on here
