Hmmm, I was very interested in this; I have Noldens too (from Brendan of course) and wondered what this loom was.

Vision-X make it and that's what Brendan used to stock. However Brendan hadn't had chance to test it to see if it worked with the Noldens. In short, as far as I can tell it definitely won't work with Noldens because the electronics inside the light extinguish the dipped beam if the main is lit, no matter what you do with the main/dipped 12V feeds.

The first thing I tested was whether on 'flash' the Nolden dipped beam was on or off. It's off as expected.

So, either the switch does that or the electronics in the Noldens do. So I had a look at a spare switch; all the contacts are out in the open so easy to examine.

The dipped/main switch is a one-or-the other, but on 'flash' (pulling the stalk towards you) it leaves the dipped on but also puts the main on.

This would work with a normal H4 bulb just fine and illuminate both filaments. However the Noldens electronics definitely switch off the dipped beam if the main beam is on. I guess this is a heat-management technique. I know LED Speaker Evos are a one-or-the-other design too. I guess Vision X lamps will work with this adaptor given they make both. Dave

For most people probably yes, but I wanted as much light as possible. I live in the foothills of the Alps and have horses. Its very dark around here so having a vehicle that can light up large areas is very useful. Thumbs Up

I will be using my Defender for driving to the ALPS and around for skiing the roads are that bit darker so the bumper option looks if it will work

The Vision X units do indeed bring both low and high beam on at the same time if using the adapter lead.
Have this setup on mine.

If you buy the Vision X units from TMD they chuck the adapter lead in FOC. At least they used to....... Defender Puma 110XS SW
