TD5 Lights not working
Bought my first defender a few months back and have been converting it from a soft top back to a hard top. While putting the lights back on at front I now have no side/dipped lights on front, side or number plate lights on back. Split the plug at the light stalk and measured this and it's barely 4.5 volts. Did the same at the front side lights and they were 4 and 5 volts. No fuses have gone and the headlights do work when flashed. There has been a bit of removal including left hand wing change, most of dash to repair bulkhead. Have not got a clue what to do next and am trying not to give in and get an electrician. It's a 1999 TD5. Any advice is much appreciated.

Check all ground wires and or run new ones. Also pick up a relayed wiring loom for the headlights so you don't have full volts going through the light switch. 2010 Range Rover MkIII Autobiography Super Charged (Idris)

Did you check earth? I.e. continuity between body/chassis and battery negative terminal. Cheers, Vincent
