A 1987 130 should have the same transmission as a 110 of the same age.
Diesel engines could be 2.5 non turbo (!) or 2.5 turboD, the pre TDi 4 cylinder engines. LT77 gearbox. Rear axle, Salisbury, drum brake type. Front, disc brakes. Same as 110. |

As DSC said you can get the 12j and 19j engines mated to the LT77 gearbox, I doubt you'd see one with either though as they'd be just too gutless. Pretty much every 127 that I've seen that hasn't had an engine conversion has had the Rover 3.5 v8, and at 1987 should be mated to the LT85 gearbox.
Before the Defender name was introduced the 130 was called the 127 so you'd probably find more information by searching for that. 1999 Land Rover Defender 110 td5 station wagon 1998 Land Rover Defender 110 County Station Wagon ~ Sold 1995 Land Rover Defender 110 V8 Station Wagon ~ Sold 1985 Land Rover 110 ex mod project Tithonus ~ Sold |
