2008 Defender 90 Puma 2.4 CSW Bonatti Grey

[For Sale] 1956 BT8 Brockhouse trailer. NOW SOLD.

I'm selling my Brockhouse trailer,
These were built for the series 1 Land Rover, so you could say it's the Sankeys Grandad!

They were used by the Auxiliry Fire Service during the Cold War era.
And were hardly ever used, if at all? whilst with the Home Office.

It's in lovely condition, and has retained most of it's original parts, and patina.
1275cc Coventry Climax engine and double pump,
This will run 2 fire hoses, and will pump a serious amount of water in a short time.

Comes with all hoses, attachments, tools, shovel, axe, some paperwork, etc.

It was released by the home office in the mid 90s,
Then went to a fire fighting museum for a few years, untill it went into the hands of a private collector,
Who I purchased it from a few years ago.

Getting quite rare now, as most have been split up just for the desirable Brockhouse trailer.

I'm really not to sure what it should sell for?
Like you say, they are rare and seldom come onto the market.

I would like to think it's a fair price? Considering just the trailers can fetch £3k plus.... 80" 80" 86" 88" 90"

I remember the big sale of them some years ago, unfortunately I could not attend as I was out of the country. A few friends went and picked up a few of them. I was told that someone was buying the Coventry Climax pumps if anyone wanted to sell them off the trailer.
I have had a couple of Brockhouse Trailers which were in average condition, they do tow extremely well.

Apart from watering the lawn I wouldn't know what to use it for.

But it would look cool on the back of my truck.

That's a nice looking Series III Freakmode. Ian's trailer would look very smart behind it.

Funny how I am now liking the look of a Series III. A few years ago I would have said "far too modern", give me a I or a II. But now it brings back happy memories of the blue SWB my mum used to run.

Our fire brigade still has one in service, although the Coventry climax pump has been replaced with a gp1600 which is Nissan micra based fire pump
