I'd be tempted to argue differently SMB.
It's because of Mal's presence on here I'm aware of his truck, and when I spotted the listing, complete with private plate it made me look closer. The sellers ID on the face of it looked far more genuine with double figure feedback and membership a couple of years old, than the usual obvious scam listing. The only person losing out here would be those foolish enough to fall for the usual, pay your money and we'll ship the vehicle as we're currently working on Mars scenario that gets played out. There is enough photographs and information on here for anyone unscrupulous enough to make up as many fictitious advertisements as they wish. I am grateful it was spotted and acted upon so quickly to prevent someone somewhere from potentially making a deposit and losing out. If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!! Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!! |

Also Reported. Its quite interesting to look into these scams. For instance: He may have lots of feedback, but has never posted feedback for others. also, all the other cars he is offering are all around the £5.2-5.8k. Is that because it gets through some security of ebays. I was always under the impression that to sell over a certain amount you had to have a special account where you have to submit details like vat number, etc.... |
