I always take the loan car for a couple of reasons. You pay for warranty and LRA when you buy the vehicle but it also puts pressure on the delaer to get the job done. LRA pay for the hire car for 3 days then the dealer has to pay for it after that. 2009 110 XS

Sounds like a fault related to the BUS, this would explain some of the lights on and the comms errors to the pcm or ipac.

A simple tests of resistance and continuity on the OBD socket with the battery disconnected would help answer this.

thanks Pete.
the garage mentioned this was their thoughts yesterday however although they have the laptop type thing which they can plug in its kind of dead. however there's some other port which is live however they don't have the kit for this. so a tech request has been sent to LR and awaiting feedback?

in the mean time I've got a hse range rover sport.
