Td5 Re-map
Hi guys,

After many years of contemplation I finally took the plunge yesterday and had my 2004 Td5 remapped by Tdi Tuning. I was a little concerned as I was informed after my arrival that it is not a "plug and play" on the Td5 for their device but requires splicing and soldering onto the existing loom. That being said, the results are immediately apparent with a noticeable increase in power and smoother delivery all through the rev range. The device is even variable with 7 different settings from max MPG saving to max power. Well worth the money so far, especially as I'm about to embarque on a long journey and I will now be able to cruise comfortably at 65mph.

No but it was a toss up between that and/or the re-map. Be interested to know what difference the transfer box change would have made but the re-map has achieved what I wanted.

The transfer box swap is a completely different thing then the re-map.

A re-map will give you more power, a tranferbox swap will drop your revs at the same speed. But you can also do that by fitting bigger tyres.


But did you get a re-map or a piggy back computer? Roel
