Mine
First post here but recognise a few familiar faces already. Not at all new to Defenders and have LR's of various types over the past 30 odd years.

My Zermatt Silver 110 XS pictured here fresh from the dealer about a month or so ago

It's been back to the dealer to have the poor underseal rectified which was only done after kicking up a bit of fuss with both the dealer and LR. Really, really brassed off to be given a base model Renault Clio as a courtesy vehicle while the work was being done. Good job they only had the vehicle a day as I really would have kicked up a stink as a Clio is about as much use to me as a steak is to a vegan.

Mods so far by me only go as far as fitting the Southdown steering guard off my old TD5 110XS (and the one before that). Parrot handsfree, ABS bullbar and the rest of my usual clobber. I decided not to fit the NAS rear towbar and step I kept back as I found it made entry and access to the back of the vehicle more difficult although having the towball further back by a few inches was useful at times. I got a standard towpack thrown in anyway.

So far so good and quite the most civilised stock Defender model I've had. Economy is down on my previous TD5's (and 300Tdi's) but I'm not keeping that close an eye on it to be able to quote specific figures. My kids like the face forward rear seats but the genuine luggage / dog guard is really quite close to their faces. When they ride in the back there is only just room for one of my gundogs and precious little else for any other clobber. Seriously considering taking out the seats.

More later.

I'm sure two gundogs in a loan Renault Clio was fun. I got a Honda Jazz from our Dealer when I had some warranty work done and it sure looked odd with a 45kg Rhodesian Ridgeback in the back. Besides, I treat ridiculous loan cars as a challenge. 2007 Defender 110
