Pull ultrasonic sensor from head lining (it just unclips). Unplug the unit and it will no longer trigger the alarm. No setting changes required to disable it. Just make sure you dont loose the woring behind the headlining in case you want to reconnect it.

The door contacts are prone to deterioration, so I'd clean or replace them as a matter of course. They are only cheap.
As above, just unplug the volumetric sensor and see how it goes. Hopefully you have other layers that will but your mind at rest whilst you trace the fault. |

I did the same mod on mine, when you lock the drivers door with your key it locks all the doors but the immobilizer and volumetric system is not activated. I use this when I leave my dog in the car for a few minutes. Also we don't have the rampant Defender theft issue over here.
