Towing a load at 140km/h, you'd be lucky to make it to the end of that private road on a tank of fuel!

I regret that in moving house twice I cannot locate the box. However there was an extensive thread here which a search would turn up. I found it as others did well worth doing, the part is from another Land Rover discovery 2 I think! I got the one that has a soft spring, high bypass they call it I think! Thumbs Up after putting the kids too bed and couple of beers I will go back up the workshop and have a dig about if no one has enlighten us Thumbs Up Very Happy

Hi all!

I m asking to all answered that they are towing with 175bhp remap on their 2.4 tdci puma. Did you feel any vibrations? Because I was going crazy about the cause of this vibrations and I just recently understood that they were coming from my remap.

So I m asking to you. Which kind of remap do you have on your puma? Mine is alive tuning stage 2 with bigger intercooler and it definitly doesn't work correctly as you can read in my other post because when I installed stock map back all is working fine. I'm more and more thinking that high toqrque 175remap is not compatible with heavy loaded or towing 110 Puma. Maybe something s going wrong with mine. What about yours?

I think Ashcroft do a higher ratio (lower number) transfer box gears, think they are from early RR auto.

Im with you my 90 would easily pull a higher gear on the road and it has a standard map (and transmission/tyres etc) if you consider all TDCIs have the same ratios and there are extremes ie 130 DCPU fully loaded with trailer etc, and 90 PU with no load.

The 90 PU would feel like a sports car in comparison to the 130, and could clearly pull a higher gear, and more relaxed higher cruising speed.

By comparison my BM 118d is 40mph/1000 revs in top gear and hence less that 2000 at 70, you can always change down to go up a steep hill DEFENDER 90 TDCI XS,
