Sorry for the obvious question, but you have put it in reverse?
On a 2.4 it's on the ignition switched supply through Fuse 14, then various wires to the reverse lamp switch, then more various wires to the reversing lamp. Weirdly on one of them it's shown as being in series with the numberplate lamp which doesn't seem right. Do you have 13 pin towing electrics? If so you can test there whether there's a reverse light feed to help narrow it down. |

Did you check for earth continuity on the earth pin? $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R

Think this is going to be over my head unless its a basic fuse or a switch, will have to book it in at the dealers..... |

It's not unknown on the Puma for the reversing light switch to need screwing a little further in to the gearbox housing. It's also not unknown for the switch to fail.

Is the switch under the centre cubby?

BW is also right, that could be a possibility.
And yes, you'd need to remove the access panel under the Cubby. Looking towards the front of the vehicle, the switch is to the top left near the main gearstick. It's a tight awkward area to get at. (Typical really) There are photos on here if you 'search'. $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R 🇬🇧🏴🏴🏴🇮🇪🇺🇸⛽️🛢️⚙️🧰💪 |

Many thanks to all that have replied to the post, reversing sensors fitted (used the Mud piggy back jumper lead instead of cutting into the rear parking light directly) all working fine used a seperate feed to check them.
Going to take the cubby out and check the connections on the switch tomorrow is there anyway of checking the switch itself? |

Visually you can otherwise it's a Multimeter job checking for continuity and voltage.
Do you have one at all? $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R 🇬🇧🏴🏴🏴🇮🇪🇺🇸⛽️🛢️⚙️🧰💪 |

It's still under extended warrenty but every time it goes back they seem to make things worse! Will get to the switch, clean the contacts & after that it's back to LR....

They certainly can make more issues.
I took mine I for a paid for clutch a couple of years ago. (Out if warranty now) Came back and had lighting issues, the transferbox earth strap was dirty and not fully tightened. $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R 🇬🇧🏴🏴🏴🇮🇪🇺🇸⛽️🛢️⚙️🧰💪 |

Cubby out & inspection plate removed, I know what you mean about being tight now. There's power going to the switch(switch is screwed tight against the cast) but still nothing at the rear light so ordered a new one failing that its Landrover time.

There is a fair few things it could be, I'm guessing earthing myself but could be wrong.
It's LR's issue to sort out so over to them, you could however mention the issue it could be suggested here. Rear loom lighting main earth strap to transfer box could do with checking, tightening and cleaning. It won't do any harm either way. Good luck. $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R 🇬🇧🏴🏴🏴🇮🇪🇺🇸⛽️🛢️⚙️🧰💪 |
