Purchased as an ex-demo with 900 miles on the clock, in August 2010. Have just finished installing all the bits and pieces I received as birthday and Christmas presents. I 've owned 2 series 3 LWB in the distant past when we used to tow a 25' caravan around UK and France and inbetween a number of sports cars from Mitsubishi,Alfa Romeo with the last a RX8 with a rotary engine. Big difference and a lot to get used to but even the wife likes it and she loved the RX8. Have covered 7000 miles since with a lot on motorways cruising at 70 + mph. I do notice that people cruising in the middle or outside lane pull over when they see this bearing down on them in their rear view mirror.
So this is what I've fitted so far:- Click image to enlarge Mantex RAI Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge LED bulbs all-round except for Indicators (working on that). Front Daylight driving lights, 2 x Front X-Light fog lamps. All additional lights run via relays in Battery box. Front Steering Protector and Diff protectors Front & Rear. Click image to enlarge Rear X-Light to provide more light when reversing Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Reversing sensors inserted in the jacking point on the rear crossmember with audible and visual indicator in cab. Rear Bumperettes. Didn't want to advertise the Dealership that sold me the 90, as they are in Park Lane London and I'm in Wales so decided to rework the Spare Wheel cover. Wet & Dry, Black Vinyl spray paint and a suitable Vinyl decal + Landrover Badge sorted that out. Click image to enlarge Heater intake scoop. Click image to enlarge Scangauge II on dash fitted via a Y connector to OBD connector so the Dealer still has access to OBD connector. Small LCD screen nearest door is for the Parking sensors - shows distance in Metres. Click image to enlarge Fire extinguisher and additional Electrical sockets on rear of cubby box - ignition controlled so I don't leave anything on. Click image to enlarge Finally Aero wipers. Now for some fun. Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated |

Thanks for the comment. The non-slip mat came of eBay, from outside the UK if I remember correctly. Works well.

Now has LED's in internal lights and the RDX covers for all the rear lights. Cannot decide if I should fit them to the front Indicator/Side lights as well.

I agree, until youve taken it offroad a few times, then all you want to do is cry, shows up the slightest scratches You cannot teach stupid people to do clever things |

How are the x-lights?
I was looking at them (maybe as my rack-mounted spots) but wasn't sure if they were bright enough. One that started out as a 2.4 TDCi 110 XS + New Defender 110 First Edition |

WEll, they are well made, solid aluminium with the blb/lens is a one piece solid unit. I've got the fog light versions which is a dispersed beam giving as much light as dipped beam ( I've upgraded the headlight bulbs to Halford's Super performance replacements ) but with a wider spread. I've no experience of the spotlight versions. The bulb/lens unit is rated at 55 watts so they are road legal, depending on how/where they are fitted. They are self draining if fitted the correct way up, but mine are upside down so I drilled, easily, a 10mm drain hole so if they get filled they drain easily and have performed well so far.

Hi WelshGas, another South Wales person here, may I ask who fitted the reversing system and assuming you were happy with them how much it cost? Regards, Kez
