G'Day Jolly.
Very smart wheels.
Consequently, the next step has to be 1"-2" lowering, bilstein shocks & some good anti roll bars, and of course brakes,...the only choice there being AP 6 spots.
What do you think?
Pickles.

This is looking pretty mean! Looks like you've removed the 'Defender' bonnet badge and replaced it with a black 'Land Rover' which is a nice touch.

HI Pickles,

Not sure on lowering yet - possibly - but happy with the stance so far. I don't find the brakes to be too bad at the moment, however after Bowler tune I may think differently.

Watts - yep, I removed the Defender Badge and replaced with a black Land Rover badge. I like the subtle mods, it makes it a little bit different.

I've just sent a DRL bumper I purchased new to the powder coaters for a satin finish rather than a matt black finish.. just makes it that little bit different Wink

I'm looking forward to starting the interior!

DRL's
Next on the list to addis a set of DRL's. I was torn between the round lights and oblongs, but as the defender is more "rectangles and edges" than curves and circles - I went with the rectangle DRL's.

I found a second hand but unused bumper on with DRL cut-outs and Ring Aurora DRL's, and got delivered middle of last week..

Me being me, I wasn't at all satisfied with the thin powder coating job (My wedding ring scratched it off down to the metal) so I took it to a powdercoaters locally for a thicker satin coat for a bit more sheen.

Here it is back from the Powder Coaters...

Next was the fit up of the lamps at home ...

And to start stripping the front end of the Defender..

And finished!

The lights were wired up at a local Auto electricians (I'm more than capable of doing it, however with it being brand new, I'd rather pay a little and get the assurance that a professional has fitted it Smile

Next job is a set of JW Speakers as I think the original lenses are letting the front end down somewhat.. after that, its a strip off of the side steps and NAS step for a powder coating in the same sheen as the bumper.

Really quite chuffed how it's all coming together and really enjoying getting the socket set back out for a bit of fettling Smile

A bit of a cheap but effective upgrade - painting the brakes and hubs..

A change of mine - wanted a more aggressive looking grille than the KBX

Great 90 Thumbs Up Love the wheels!! Particularly like the photo showing the 18" Bowler's rear and standard 16" front, a good comparison.

How the ride and handling after the Alive 'comfort' set up? James

Cheers, yes it's a great set up/ Handling is vastly improved cornering wise but it's very quick to hit the bump stops if hitting a speed bump at speed Smile
