Time for a new horn... Recommendations please ?
Hi all,

So the horn on my TD5 has basically become nothing more than a weeping ghost... now that might be that it is full of mud as I spend plenty of time winching through gloop or it may be that it was just weak in the first instance !

Any recommendations and advice on fitting a replacement ?

Cheers,

K.. Defender 90 TD5 County -
You need only two tools in life: WD-40 and duct tape.
If it doesnt move and it should: WD-40.
If it moves and shouldnt: duct tape it.

If you just want to replace the horn then you can't go far wrong with one of these:

A standard tdi low note horn from Bearmach for the princely sum of £6. Fitted to the salvaged original bracket - one bolt and two spade connectors. Darren

I was in Demon Tweeks earlier and very nearly picked up some more there....but Tweeks are hella pricey

They're really easy to fit, using existing wiring. Thumbs Up

Probably a silly question but is the horn and the alarm sounder the same thing or different? James
