This thread makes me wondering... Did I order the correct coloured Nakatanenga 3rd brake light for my truck? The SVX has from the factory all clear LED lights in the rear. But the 3rd brake light remained red at assembly in Solihull.... So I ordered a clear 3rd brake light so that it would match the other lights in the rear, but maybe I should have ordered a red one so that it would be a like for like colour replacement for the genuine filament 3rd brake light which is red.... Decisions, decisions... Looking for my hat now.
Eric You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation. http://youtu.be/yVRlSsJwD0o https://youtu.be/vmPr3oTHndg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GtzTT9Pdl0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABqKPz28e6A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLZ49Jce_n0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvAsz_ilQYU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8tMHiX9lSw https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dxwjPuHIV7I https://vimeo.com/201482507 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSixqL0iyHw |

Did you stop taking your pills again! This is the problem with this forum - far too many thoughts, ideas, options, and choices to me made. But we all have fun being sad Defender owners who smile everytime we jump in one ! |

I bought a set of clear originally, but when I put them on I thought they looked a bit chintzy against the black so have now got red brake lights instead. Same as what Twisted do on their vehicles.

I use the Australian Boomawonga Iridium LED units, they make my Defender look like an Astra. 2008 RS4 gone, 123d M Sport, and a Puma 90 XS..

I had this same dilemma, really couldn't decide, plumbed on all clear thinking it would match the front. Had them fitted by someone else and when I collected I had got all coloured But in hindsight I think it might have been the right decision

I originally fitted clear then, after some thieving scum liberated them and the insurance coughed up, I fitted red . I thought all clear was a bit blingy on my 110

I Have a red light heading my way as I type
Worked out well in the end having one of each to try. I think the red actually looks brighter? also as I did a video of me pressing the brake pedal so I could see what they looked like.... If I double up the reversing light and fog I think red will break it up better. The plinths are really nice, quite sad as no one will know but its nice to hold like an mac book, alloy machined out... Click image to enlarge Nice soft gasket for a good seal Click image to enlarge I 'think' they look great Click image to enlarge Still need to fit the fog and reverse one as the originals un bolt? Thanks |

Red for me too - I bought a set of Wipac LEDs and ummed and ahhed, but stuck with the traditional look. Clear looks a little blingy for me sorry. Good nick for a C reg too BTW Euro-Leafing to infinity and beyond.....

Mine are all clear. Probably the blingiest aspect of the truck!
