Wipac LED light kit
I reported a problem to Wipac but they replied that they never heard about it before and could not help. Hopefully someone here can help.

This is what I wrote:

"During the recent Land Rover Show 2016 in Peterborough we purchased one 73mm LED LSL Land Rover Defender Kit, Part No S6068LED, from one of the stands.

The kit was fitted to a Land Rover Defender model year 2007 "Puma". Also the special flasher relay was fitted.

However, after fitment, when the car car was locked with the remote, the alarm started. We could not find anything that caused this. What could be the reason for this problem?

We refitted the original flasher relay and flasher lights but now the alarm starts as soon the car is locked. We have checked fuses etc but are unable to find any problems.

Can you please let us know what to do in order to overcome the problems."

Best regards,

Hans

Is the interior light still operating when you open/close the door??

It sounds (considering you replaced the LEDs with the original lights and the problem persisted) coincidental that this fault has occurred as you've swapped the lights. I've had alarm issues before caused by a faulty alarm sensor in the headlining. I disconnected it temporarily and it stopped the alarm going off. I'd initially go round and check all your door, bonnet and headlining sensors to ensure they're still working/undamaged.
