Just a quick update as it has been over seven weeks since Hollie had her op and a month since she was discharged. I am pleased to say that Hollie has made a remarkable recovery and is 95% back to normal, all the swelling has gone down and the word from her specialist, who we saw yesterday is really good and he said the op had been a complete success and all the tests performed yesterday came back positive.
As for me and my wife we are now recovered as well, with our stress and worry levels back to normal. Tomorrow we are to holiday for a week in a Cornish village called Boscastle in a cottage that has been kindly loaned to us, we are all looking forward to it. Again my thanks to all the people on this forum that gave such kind thoughts and positive comments in those dark days of early August when we did not know what outcome we would be faced with, those comments really did mean an awful lot to me. Yes, thank you, all is going well, Hollie is fine and hopefully well on the mend, she still has to take some quite strong medication but on her last check-up all was well.
The areas of wales you plan to visit, Criccieth and Black Rock Sands are very pleasant places, though there is very little to do in Criccieth, though there are some very good restaurants in the town. Nearby to Black Rock sands is Portmeirion where the Prisoner was filmed and is well worth a visit. I hope you have a great time in Wales. really pleased to hear things are going well (long may it continue) albeit with some medication.
Just back from Criccieth (just stopped long enough to use the loos), then to black rock sand for a wee walk and picknic on the beach before heading past port merion and to 'talybont' (I think) and back onto the beach / dunes for a bbq after grabbing some sausages and lamb burgers from the spar / local butchers at th end of the road All good and what a lovely part of the world. |
